Vikki Rompala is a licensed clinical social worker who was initially trained in and implemented SFCR at LaRabida Children’s Hospital in Chicago, IL, where she helped integrate peers as co-facilitators. She has since taken the model to other social service settings within domestic violence and adoption preservation including early childhood services recently. Vikki was the lead developer of FamLingo, a game to increase family fun and resilience.
Laura McArthur is a psychologist who was initially trained in and first facilitated SFCR during her post-doctoral fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco and she has supported the expansion of SFCR to communities in Colorado. She is the co-founder and executive director of Resilient Futures, a non-profit dedicated to building resilience in schools and communities.
Laurel Kiser is a psychologist and developer of SFCR. She received support from the National Institute of Mental Health and the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration to develop family-based interventions to address the high rates of trauma exposure and the prevalence of trauma-related disorders related to poverty. Laurel provides SFCR training locally, nationally, and internationally and consults with multiple child services systems implementing SFCR.
